Wetstuff - Corporate Sailing
SStaff Reward Industry Regatta Team Building Skippering Services

Wetstuff is aimed at those looking to "splash out" and spend some quality time on the water.

Corporate sailing comes in many forms. The links above are to what are considered the main forms, but if you are looking for something different please ask - it's YOUR day out.

We have worked with companies large and small over the years helping them realise their corporate sailing dreams. Many clients have booked repeat business with us, and a number are now close friends.

Clients have included Sony UK, Nationwide Accident Repair Services, SBJ UK, Macfarlanes, Wincanton Logistics and Wates Construction.

We like to work with our clients to assess their needs and tailor their day accordingly. Whether it be a one day , single boat  team building day, or racing around the Isle of Wight with 1900 other boats ( as part of the famous Round The Island Race) we can help.

In addition to offering our own boats, with and wiithout skipper, our skippers are also available to skipper other yachts of your choice to help you get the most out of your days afloat.

To find out how we can help you, why not get in touch by calling us on 07811 407777, or emailing us at john@wetstuff.org.uk ?

Client Entertainment

This can range from a single boat for one day to a number of boats over various time periods. The exact package will be tailored to your needs. SBJ UK ( now Bluefin) have used my services for the past 8 years.

Initially I skippered a catamaran for their now annual 5 day sailing week. Since then we have changed boats and venues a number of times, but always keeping the same goal - a fun packed day with a chance to informally catch up with clients. Bluefin's sailing week has spawned a number of other bookings from their clients and other Bluefin offices.

Staff Reward
While similar to client entertainment days, staff reward trips off the chance for staff to let their hair down after reaching targets, or going that extra mile for the company. These may range from a single day out through to taking part in a industry regatta. Crew often join the evening prior to the day on the water to unwind at one of the many clubs and pubs at Gun Wharfe. The following morning we set sail for Hamble or Cowes and a stretch of the legs before a well deserved lunch at one of the local pubs or restaurants. A lesiurely sail back to our base, with a waterborne tour of Historic Portsmouth Harbour along the way rounds the day off leaving your staff feeling valued and ready to continue their hard work for you.

Industry Regattas
Many industries use sailing regattas to network, reward their staff, entertain clients - or just to have fun. Many regattas are open to all boats with the fleet split into different classes, with boats racing under a handicapping system. Prime Evil is a fantastic boat for these events - she looks the part, and sails well. In fact she was second in class in the 2008 Little Britain Challenge. We have repeat customers for the Little Britain Challenge and the Manches Cup.

Other regattas are "one design" - with a fleet consisting of  a single class offering close racing with obvious winners. With most boats taking part in these regattas only available on a skippered basis, our skippers are available to help you get the most out of these regattas.

Team Building
Whether it be a new team you are trying to establish, or a new group of people you wish to mould into an effective team sailing is a great medium to achieve this. An alien environment where strengths have to be used to advantage and great communication skills are needed to get the most out of the boat help to reinforce the lessons taught.

Wetstuff will work with you to help you establish the goals for your event and advise as to how they may be achieved. Team building events may range from a single boat upto more complex groupings of multiple boats and shore teams - all having to work together to achieve an overall task.

Skippering Services

So you have your own boat, but don't want the pressure of taking staff or clietnts out - no problem, let one of our experienced, qualified skippers take the pressure off. Most of our skippers come from a teaching background so are quite happy encouraging your guests to take part, keeping safety to the fore at all times.

Alternatively, you may have seen a boat with another company that you would love to sail, but aren't qualified. Again, we cen help by providing a skipper ( and other crew as needed) to help entertain guests.
